Tourists in and around Medellin are invited to a night of dancing, raffles and free gifts at the Palmahira discotheque.
The event called Viaja x Colombia or Travel around Colombia will take place Friday January 6 and Saturday January 7 with the fun starting at 8PM.
Erica Posada, head of communications at the Palmahira discotheque told Colombia Reports that they have put on this type of party before. However for this year they have really pushed the publicity so that the event gets a greater turn-out.
She added that Antioquia is a region that receives a lot of tourists so the disco will be decorated with iconic symbols of the department such as the carriel, a small leather satchel.
The representative of the nightclub said that the music played on the nights of the event will be "cross-over," a variety of genres including salsa, music of the region, and vallenato.
Free tickets can be obtained from the Viaja x Colombia offices located at Calle 67 Sur 43 C – 17 Oficina 305, Sabaneta – Antioquia.
