Colombia al Parque is an annual festival held in Bogota to celebrate the country's many cultural epressions. This year, the festival -- held until Sunday --will focus on the culture of Colombia's Pacific Coast and most particularly, the marimba.
Throughout the week, activities and performances will be held all over the capital, but if you want a serious bite of Pacific culture, you need to be in Bogota's Parque El Lago on Saturday and Sunday to see a whole range of activities and performances demonstrating the predominantly afrocolombian culture from the west.
