Rock gods Metallica will perform in Colombia in March 2010, newspaper El Espectador reported Thursday. Earlier rumors said
the band would come to Bogota in January.
Alfredo Villaveces, General Manager of the event organizing company Evenpro Colombia, confirmed to the newspaper that Metallica will play in Colombia in March next year.
"They were talking about a show in Bogota on January 20, but the group will offer more concerts in Europe and the United States. So at this time everything is being adapted regarding Latin America," Villaveces said.
"Surely the first place will be Bogota. It is planned for March but no fix date was set yet," the Evenpro Colombia manager added.
The planned gig is Metallica's second concert in Colombia. The veterans played in Bogota in the Parque Simon Bolivar in 1999.
