
Rock gods Metallica will take up Colombia for the second time in the almost 200-year-long history of the country and the 28-year-long history of the band.
According to website estereofonica.com, the group will be playing the capital Bogota on January 19 and January 20. The website says to base the news on "good sources" close to the group.
The concerts may draw the largest crowd in Colombian concert history. Hardly ever before a band books a double night in the capital and according to estereofonica.com the concerts will be held in Parque Simon Bolivar, good for 50,000 spectators per show.
