Miss Colombia committed to Miss Universe preparation

The newly crowned Miss Colombia, Michelle Rouillard Estrada from Cauca, will immediately start committing herself to the preparations needed for Miss Universe 2009, she told Colombian radio.

In an interview with W Radio, she will start preparations this week so Colombia has a chance of having a universal beauty queen at the upcoming Miss Universe in Venezuela.

"Being Miss Colombia means to assist and to work for Colombia. I want to prepare myself very well to see if I can get the desired crown for the country," she said.

The 21-year old student spent the last four years in Canada, but says the love for her country brought her back to compete in the country's most prestigious beauty pageant.

"As a child I wanted to be Miss, I loved it. When I grew up it didn't seem much of a probability, because focusing on work and study i didn't think I'd be Miss Colombia," she said.

Carlos: Isn't Michelle Colombian? If she loves her country that much to go back to compete means she's a good patriot of her country. In Canada Michelle could easily win Miss Canada, the women here are ugly and fat. She gets her looks from her colombian mother. :-)
