The Presidents of Colombia, Panama and Mexico announced Wednesday that they have agreed to form an alliance to fight organized crime and drug trafficking.
Colombian President Alvaro Uribe, Panamanian President Ricardo Martinelli and Mexican President Felipe Calderon met in Panama, where Martinelli was sworn in Wednesday as President.
"We have agreed today to the terms of a great alliance between Colombia, Panama and Mexico to confront and defeat a common enemy: the criminal organizations that have inhabited the Latin American region for some time," said Calderon.
