arias.jpgControversial plans to sell the lands of government farm Carimagua has been canceled, Colombian Agriculture Minister Andres Felipe Arias told Colombian parliament.Arias was subjected to fierce criticism after revelations in the press that the 17.000 hectares of land that was promised to displaced farmers, was going to be sold to private companies instead. The government now seeks a way to distribute the land to both displaced farmers and private companies, the Minister said.So far, Colombian newspaper El Tiempo found out, no private company has shown interest in buying the controversial piece of land from the government.Arias still faces a motion of censorship, which would make him unable to act as Minister,  over the issue.
