Pope Benedict XVI will receive Colombian President Álvaro Uribe in April, the Colombian ambassador to the Vatican said Wednesday.
According to ambassador Juan Gómez Martínez, the Pope, "who is a friend of Colombia and Colombians", will receive the President on April 30.
Uribe is welcome in the Vatican for a private audience with the Holy Father.
