Four police officers were seriously injured when armed men attacked the police station of Santa Rita, a village 20 miles north of Medellín.
According to a local hospital employee, the four were brought to the hospital with serious injuries and are being treated.
Authorities suspect one of the local drug gangs to be behind the attack. Airforce helicopters were sent to the area looking for suspects.
