Authorities seize properties 'Don Mario' aides

Colombian authorities combined forces in an extensive operation to seize the properties of several men who are suspected to be allies of alleged drug lord Daniel 'Don Mario' Rendón.

160 houses and fincas and 103 vehicles were seized in the operation, carried out by the country's Prosecution and Police. All property seized belonged to the drugs lord's organization's number two, Jhon Freddy 'El Indio' Manco Torres and Antioquia businessman Felipe Sierra. Total value of the seized properties would be 55 billion pesos (US$27 million)

Felipe Sierra and 'El Indio' were arrested in August 2008. 'Don Mario' is still on the run.
