"FARC traveled freely inside Venezuela"

Troops and leaders of Colombia's largest rebel army FARC have freely been able to move in Venezuela. They even had camps on Venezuelan territory the army of the neighboring country allowed, a demobilized guerrilla says.

The FARC leaders 'Mono Jojoy', Iván Márquez and Martin Caballero had camps in Colombia's eastern neighbor that sheltered at least 200 guerrillas, said Víctor Antonio Leones, a former guerrilla on Caracol Radio's 'The voices of the kidnapped', a radio show for Colombia's kidnapped.

The Venezuelan army knew about the camps and allowed them, the demobilized guerrilla said. The FARC even received ammunition and uniforms with 'Made in Venezuela' on it, he added.

According to Leones, the camps were far from teh border, some even between 10 or 15 days walking away.

The demobilized said he himself was responsible for the receiving of guerrillas that entered Colombia from Venezuela.
