Four children from the same family died when a candle set fire to their home just outside the eastern Colombian town of Villanueva, Casanare.
According to local authorities, the tragedy took place on Thursday evening.
Two brothers and two sisters died. One girl was rescued from the fire.
"The mother of the children had left to buy groceries at a shop," the town mayor told media.
