U.S. President-elect Barack Obama invited Colombian singer Shakira to perform in the White House on the day of his inauguration in January 2009, Peruvian newspaper El Comercio reported Tuesday.

Honestly it's an honor that the new president of the United States has invited the most successful Latin artist there is, Shakira. I hope it's true. She is my favorite and it would be awesome to see her do this.
