A female candidate for Colombia's House of Representatives promised on Monday to pose nude in a magazine if she gets voted into Congress in the upcoming elections.
According to Maria Fernanda Valencia, candidate for the coalition Partido de la U in the capital Bogota, her stripping naked in men's magazine Soho will "send a political message."
"The nudity is a means to send the message and that message is that I will fight for women's rights," the former television presenter said on radio station W.
Valencia's nude photo shoot will be "artistic," she assured the public in her interview.
The aspiring politician admitted that it is hard for a newcomer in Colombian politics to get the necessary votes to be able to represent the people in Congress.

... It's not about her rights, she can do whatever she wants, but does she think Colombians are so stupid that they would vote for her just so she can strip for a magazine? And her argument about women's rights is pretty pathetic, how is she fighting for women's rights by posing in some magazine that only turns women into sex objects? |
